I stayed at this place with my family and friends. Trust me this place is amazing. Those who look for a home, away from home, this is definitely for you. I booked one 2 bhk and one studio apartment for a group of 9 members. We had a.very comfortable and memorable stay. Hygiene and cleanliness was superb. Kitchen was setup with everything you need if you want to cook your own food or make breakfast. Shubham was very coperative. I would recommend to stay here in case you would want to visit Gangtok. Also, please don't forget to visit zoo if you comes Gangtok, this is an ultimate place and has red panda.

We a family of 3 including a kid of 4 years stayed at Shumbuk homes for 4 days in first week of June.The rooms are very spacious ,the staff esp Subash and Suraj are very helpfull .The location is just 2 mis from main road near Tadong Police station.Share cab to MG Marg costs Rs 30 per person and reserved cabs Rs 200 .There are plenty of small restaurants nearby .Dont miss the delicious veg Momos from Pepe restaurant which is very near to place.The food at Shumbuk homes is good and they cater to individual choices .I would surely recommend this homestay .There is a microwave ,freedge and water purifier provided as well .

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in May 2019. I directly booked the room by calling the hotel's number. They provided me one studio apartment which had all the amenities that I can think of. The room was very clean and hygienic; the staffs make sure that every day my room remains clean. The best part of the hotel is the staffs and their service. I booked the room mainly seeing the kitchen facility so that we can cook if required for my little daughter. But we never felt the need of cooking ourselves as hotel staff provided us whatever food we wanted and the way we wanted it to be cooked. Whenever I needed something, the staffs were there to help. They also helped me in booking cabs for sightseeing and also helped me in getting the necessary permit. Some people wrote about the location of the hotel is not good, but I found it okay. The rooms may not have views of the hills and mountains and I did not expect that also. It is located in such an area where all amenities were there and not far from M.G. road, one can easily get a taxi/shared taxi to M.G. road. But the place was free from hustling and bustling of the main Gangtok area. I liked it. Overall wonderful experience and the staff made it an awesome experience and I am definitely going to stay here again if I travel to Gangtok. Highly recommended.

I travelled to Sikkim & Gangtok for the first time with my family (2 adults , 1 child , 1 toddler) . We stayed at the Shumbuk Service apartment for 4 nights , and it was a very Comfortable stay . The manager Mr. Subash Rai was very hospitable and took good care to make sure everything was as per our communication and expectations :) The location is in market area , where all amenities are available , if you plan to cook a meal like I did quite a few times. Mr. Subash also helped us with the local travel arrangements including with pick up from the Bagdogra airport to Gangtok. They also do provide meals on request basis which was nicely made. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for a service apartment to consider this place to stay . This place is in the city , hence no window view of mountains or scenery to be expected.

We had aour younger son with typical eating needs hence we went for Studio Apt. Clean Room, all kitchen facilities were good and well maintained at Studio Apartment. Staffs were really courteous, services and facilities provided are awesome. Shubhash (the care taker) was very nice , arranged Sighseeting as reasonable rates. Shared taxis (very frequent) are easily available in front of Hotel @ 20 Rs for M G Marg.. Would highly recommend this place for families with younger kids requiring kitchen facilities.
